Avika Gor (born 30 June 1997) is an Indian actress who predominantly works in television shows and also appears in Hindi, Telugu and Kannada films. She made her debut on television as a child artist. She is most known for playing the role "Anandi" in the Hindi drama series Balika Vadhu, which was based on the issue of child marriage in Rajasthan.
She is currently working in the Hindi soap opera Sasural Simar Ka
Personal life
Avika Gor was born on 30 June 1997 in a Gujarati family. Her parents are Sameer Gor, an investment and insurance agent and Chetna Gor, a house wife. She attends Ryan International School in Mumbai, Maharashtra. As a child, she has appeared in several fashion shows. She won the Best Model Award for Gini and Jonny in the 2007 Lakme Fashion Week. Her mother tongue is Gujarati but she speaks Hindi and English as well.
Career
Gor first appeared in the fantasy series called Rajkumar Aryan, where she had a small role. She then appeared in few other television shows like Meri Awaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni and Karam Apna Apna in some small roles.
Gor was then signed for a role in Paathshala. She eventually landed a big role in a show called Balika Vadhu. Gor also had a role in the film Morning Walk. Gor left Balika Vadhu in 2010 when it took a leap of 5 years. Since 2011, she is playing the role of "Roli" in Sasural Simar Ka.
Gor made her debut in Tollywood with Uyyala Jampala. She is scheduled to debut in Kannada cinema in actor-director Kishan Shrikanth's Care of Footpath 2.
